It was recently the turn of ace videographer Emma Matthews From RYG Films to give her 10-minute presentation about who she is and what she does. As someone who's done a lot of video work myself over the years, I can see when someone is really good at it ...

I can wholeheartedly recommend Emma Matthews from RYG Films!

Emma lives in Northampton with her partner Michal, daughter and dog. She's been there for around 8 years and started Raise Your Glass Films (now renamed to RYG Films) some 4 years ago. When I asked her what her hobbies were, she laughed, claiming that with a business and a family she doesn't have much time for herself.

"She is incredibly passionate about her work though!"

From a theatre background, both Emma and Michal are very strong on storytelling. I recently looked at their portfolio and there are a wide videos for a diverse number of customers. Emma says, "We create hand-crafted films for hard grafting industries" and her work very much captures the essence of a business and tells a story about them.

From design and manufacturing to SMEs and arts productions, Emma puts her heart and soul into their films and their clients are delighted with the end results. What I like the most is the whimsy they can create in their videos when given a free rein ... for example, the cut out footprints walking over a hand-drawn map when showcasing the best of Northampton. It certainly made me chuckle.

"We both always wanted to be creative and doing videography and being a filmmaker lets us do that", says Emma. "We started out shooting videos and entering competitions whilst working other jobs, and it grew from there."

Emma joined another BNI chapter originally, but found the early starts were a problem when raising her family. "Moving to BNI Sterling and having lunchtime meetings really suited me" Emma says, "and I've loved the warm welcome I've received from all the members."

"I do love Emma's work!"

I've created a lot of videos over the years, mostly for myself, but sometimes for my clients too. However, I can firmly say that I was never a professional at it like Emma is, and I love her work so much I want her to create a video for my own new website.

So, are you looking for a promotional film for your business? I can wholeheartedly recommend Emma Matthews from RYG Films.

Until next time ...
